The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has designated the Texas Transfer Advisory Committee to govern the transfer rules and framework for curriculum of transfer students. Learn more on the THECB website.
Field of Study Curriculum
Required by state law and coordinating board rules, each Field of Study Curriculum consists of lower-level courses that transfer to SFA and apply to specific degree programs.
When you complete all 18 semester credit hours for discipline foundation and directed electives within your FOSC at a community college, the courses will transfer as a block to SFA and be applied to your degree plan.
If you transfer before completing your FOSC, courses will transfer individually to your degree plan and SFA may require you to complete the remaining courses to satisfy this requirement.
