In this program, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of how children and families grow and change from a lifespan and family systems perspective. This knowledge base is essential for careers in organizations and agencies that focus on early childhood development, life transitions, aging services, and helping families navigate difficult situations and circumstances.

This program requires 30 hours including a thesis, or 36 hours without a thesis, regardless of emphasis. If you’re interested in a career in higher education or seek a better understanding of the research process, the thesis track is right for you.
