Getting involved
Joining a club, organization or honor society is a great way to make friends, get to know your professors and become a more successful student. SFA is home to more than 200 student clubs and organizations, including clubs for students interested in environmental science.
The National Association of Environmental Professionals, Student Chapter
Students interested in environmental topics can join the student chapter of this national organization, which provides a variety of networking and career development opportunities. To learn more, contact faculty advisor Dr. Kenneth Farrish at kfarrish@sfasu.edu.
Professional associations
Involvement in professional associations is a great way to learn more about your profession and to develop networking opportunities. SFA Environmental Science Students are encouraged to join the SFA student chapter of the National Association of Environmental Professionals. In addition, attending professional conferences and luncheon meetings of professional chapters of this organization and others will help you expand your network.
