There's plenty to enjoy at SFA Gardens

Camping. Birdwatching. Canoe trips and tea parties. Nature-centered activities for kids of all ages. SFA Gardens offers a full calendar of family- and kid-friendly events. Fall in love with the outdoors and encourage your child’s curiosity and STEM skills. 

Pineywoods Summer Camp

Summer camps are canceled until further notice. 

Beat summer boredom and keep your child’s science skills sharp with one of our week-long summer camps. SFA Gardens offers a variety of age-appropriate camp sessions, from day camps for little kids to overnight canoeing adventures for teens.

Wonder Woods (Age 4-6)

This five-day camp will introduce your child to the wonders of the East Texas Piney Woods. Activities include hiking, art projects, songs, games and hands-on learning activities. The last day of camp includes a fishing trip and family picnic.

Cost is $90 per camper.

Jack Creek Camp (Age 7-11)

Campers will participate in hands-on learning activities, listen to exciting lectures and explore the woods and streams of the SFA Experimental Forest. The week-long camp will end with a day of canoeing and fishing at Lake Naconiche.

Two sessions are available. Cost is $125 per camper.

Wilderness Adventures (Age 12-15)

This exciting camp begins with three days of outdoor skill building, including rock climbing and ropes activities at the SFA campus and basic canoe training on Lake Naconiche. From there, campers will travel to Martin Dies Jr. State Park for a two-day camping and canoeing adventure.

Cost is $275 per camper, and space is limited.
